I just had the torque converter replaced at my Dodge dealer. They were very quick to fix the problem.

I explained it as, when I was travelling between 40k to 60k it was riding over a rumble strip.

The dealership owner checked for service bulletins and sure enough, the wording was almost exact.

It's nice to have a warranty that covers such things. It would be nice to know about common TSB's before they show up in my Nitro.

Bye for now. Ted.

I have a slope to my driveway and don't have any real problem backing out except roll back if you don't give it enough gas but I have had that with all the vehicles I have had.

The area this actual question is posted in homes all the released TSB's click that link and scroll down. The TSB for this problem is 21-002-07 REV.

As of yesterday I unfortunately came to realize that I too need to take my Nitro in for this flash. Driving at 55mph yesterday it kept surging, I yelled at hubby to quite messing with the gas pedal and stay consistent but he yelled back. LOL

It wasn't him!

I have the same shudder problem as mentioned in the opening thread. My car is built in April 2007! Today (Saturday) I sent an e-mail to my dealer and expained the problem. He doesn't know about this TSB. Next week he comes back to me. I'll keep you informed.

follow up on this story .... I got it fixed again at another dealer lasted 1 day and the same torque converter shudder problem again - got the newer flash version at another dealer and still the problem is there. Got the feeling now this it could be something else all together. Who knows... been reading so much about it now that I don't know what could be wrong with it. Thinking about treading it now. I sure don't want a vehicule that know one knows how to fix. thanks for reading.

I understand what your saying tony, it doesn't instill much confidence for the future if they can't fix problems now.
