There have been a few others. Very low productions numbers thus far. Search for threads started by WarriorBob for more info.
Read http://www.nitroforumz.com/showthread.php?t=1398I have a loaded Sunburst orange R/T since feb. 17, and have heard nothing. I called Dodge today, and they acted like I was asking them how to solve calculus over the phone. "We're not aware of anything, you'll have to contact the dealer"! Just wondering if anyone has acutally taken possesion of one with the system, and if so, how does it work?
Thanks!!
R/T's are low volume. The hold-up is no longer MyGIG.
?. No hold up. R/T was planned to be low volume. MyGIG systems are being installed at the plant. The plant is on a scheduled downweek to prepare for the upcoming new Liberty launch. So what is the hold up now:shy:
I spent the last year and a half launching the Nitro in Toledo. Feel free to PM me. Since this forum limits PM's to 10, keep trying. Thanks for the info, Mojo. Do you have a connection at the plant?
MyGig is not "holding" vehicles (with MyGig Option) from being assembled. But like any new technology, service parts (Mopar) has 2nd priority to vehicle orders which are 1st priority. Now that the bugs have been fixed with MyGig, it will take time to fill the complete pipeline. If MyGig was the sole reason for your purchase, you should have ordered a Nitro with MyGig from the factory. Some dealers frustrate me because they do not tell the whole story. The dealer wants to sell you a car on their lot first (for obvious business reasons). Chrysler prematurely advertises MyGig, as manufactures do in other industries to generate interest (i.e. Microsoft and Vista). MyGig is launched and has a few software issues. Chrysler, believe it or not, cares enough not to continue shipping until the software bugs are resolved. The customer wants MyGig. The dealer wants to sell a car. So the dealer offers the customer MyGig as a preorder through Mopar parts. What the dealer failed to communicate is that your wait will be a little longer than those who insisted the dealer place a new order with MyGig from the factory. I am frustrated for you. And as a DCX employee, I am really frustrated hearing these situations. All I can say is that I hope you have the patience to wait. MyGig is pretty cool and makes rush hour driving actually fun. I hope this helps answer your question.Mo,
If the MyGig is not the hold up, why is it that we still can't get them through the parts department. The dealer keeps telling me that the plant is filling the new Nitro orders first and does not have enough to ship them as parts. Just wondering if you could shed some light on that for us.
Thanks!!
So what is the hold up now:shy:
