Take a look at this thread I included below. It seems that a failing lock mechanism could be the culprit. This could be a job that one can tackle themselves, but you would have to be able to remove the interior door panel from inside the car.

One thing to possibly try is disconnecting the battery. One of the posts in the link below suggested that. It is worth a try.

Good to hear!
If you can, take some pics and document the process which you can then use to create a How-to for us, so that we can help other members in the future.

Wasn't there a second relay in the export Nitro for the door locks Nitrogen?
Did you ever find it in the kick panel?

yes there are 2 additional relays in the R/H side kick panel which control a double locking system, ONLY on the Export Nitro. i will stop there as the Nitro locking system is quite complicated.

So my drivers door won't open today lol! Is this catching?? :)

Door pin goes up and down fine, pressing door button on outside has no resistance, as if it's not even connected. Pulling door handle inside you can feel / here it's trying to do something but it doesn't open.

Faulty deadlock perhaps?

Now to work out how to get the door panel off with the door locked shut!

Did anyone ever resolve this issue?

the self same thing has just happened to me. Lock button goes up and down as it should, can clearly hear the central locking working…but driver’s door (right side) does not open. No resistance to door handle button, and internal pull lever makes a slight noise at the locking mechanism but nothing happening.
