Can anyone tell me if I may have a "child-proof" lock on or something because I am constantly having to unlock the back doors and gate. It drives me crazy that if I need to get something out of it, I have to unlock the back door first. What am I doing wrong? help

If you are using the remote it's likely programmed that you have to press it twice for the passenger doors and liftgate to unlock. This is normal. Hope this helps.

Have you checked your EVIC? Push the page button on your steering wheel til personal settings is displayed then the down arrow til you see your lock options. Then you can set it to unlock all doors when exiting & I believe you can also set it to open all doors with one remote click.

The default setting from the factory is two clicks to open all the doors. Just check the handbook for how to change it to one click. It's really easy even on the SXT model with no EVIC.

I think you can also program it to unlock all the doors when you shut the truck off as well.

Hi Whitegurl!

When you start to drive, the doors lock automatically. Therefore, whenever you stop or park, you should hit the unlock doors button on the driver side. If I go shopping, etc., I unlock all doors to access the rear doors, tailgate, etc. Not a problem once you know what to do :wiggle2:

Auto door locks also there is a child lock on the back doors its just below the latch on the door a small white plastic slot with a embossed lock open and closed
