I just received this antenna on ebay. It doesn't fit and so far the seller is only offering a refund. Why the hell should I pay for two way shipping on a mis-represented product?!?!?!

LOL, some sellers on Ebay think they now everything. Guess he never tried to install one those antennas on a Nitro.

One thread will be metric and the other standard. I just checked my Nitro and it looks like the antenna has a 6mm male thread. The part you bought will probably be 1/4" which is slightly bigger than 6mm but will engage a small amount before tightening up.
You'll need to get a 6mm die nut from an auto parts store and run it down the billet male thread thread to clean it up and make the threads the same. It should fit then..

^^^ But the problem is ALSO the non-threaded part -- even if both ends thread in a little further there is still a gap

Measure the gap and shorten the thread on the antenna by that amount plus 2mm or so. You can either file it off in a vice or use a disc grinder.

No freeking way -- too much work on a product that supposed to fit a Nitro.

Gonna send it back and be reimbursed shipping for both ways.
