I got the recall in mail... about driver airbag emblem or watever. Never heard back. Anyone got this fixed or heard of them fixing this yet?

I too got the letter but zero updates.

First one on the forum I have seen.

I got a letter also. I bought my Nitro used and the airbag emblem was missing. When I called...they told me to call my local dealer. Still waiting for the airbag emblem to come in.

The recall is to remove the emblem, so I would not expect them to sell you one. At this point all they do is to remove the emblem. They say this is an interim "fix", but no word when or even if they will have a true repair.

So, it seems the issue is that the emblem will shred skin or worse if the airbag is deployed.

Has anyone done the emblem removal themselves?

Not just the emblem but also the retaining clips on the inside..
