Supposedly it means a larger radiator and a transmission cooler. I can see the cooler on mine so THAT'S there. This "larger" radiator doesn't seem so big to me though......

ok every one, after much digging i think i may have found an answer.... If you wouldn't mind, i need every one to look under their hood and tell me three things
1. is your nitro a manual or automatic
2. did you order the tow package from the factory
3. do you have a mechanical or electric cooling fan (or both??)

Thanks

4.0 Auto/triptronic

Yes

3. do you have a mechanical or electric cooling fan (or both??)
Both

From what I was told at the dealership, ordering the tow package automatically included the heavy duty engine cooling system.

A "larger" radiator is probably not bigger, but has extra "cores", that is the number of passes the pipe makes through the fins.
More cores usually means thicker (at least on a brass radiator). It's an aluminum radiator which; from my experience; should be a single core. Perhaps the side flow tanks are larger?

current theory is the second fan is because of the auto tranny... I think because the radiator has to absorb the extra heat from the trans a second fan is added to flow more air.. when the Chrysler rep gets back to me i will post his answer
