Esp & Bas Light

I have had "08 nitro, 3.7 ltr. in the shop 7 times for this problem. Have had modules replaced and flashed. (Did not fix problem) I am waiting on a steering angle sensor to see if it will fix the problem. I have about 2664 miles on the vehicle. I am also waiting on a radio, totally died, and it is the standard 1 disc with sattelite.
I will let everyone know if this fixes the problem.

They changed all kinds of sensors, and finally after the third time they changed the Anti-Lock break Module and as of now after putting 730 miles on the Nitro they have not come on:SHOCKED::pop:

My ESP/BAS light has come on three different times in the past couple of months. When this light comes on, my traction control light also comes on as when you turn it off. I have turned the traction control back on each time but the other light stays on for a while. Then after a few minutes of driving, it goes off.

I am planning on taking it to my dealer to have it checked out but wanted to see if anyone else has had similar experiences. If they can't duplicate it, I would like to be armed with some data to discuss this with them.

Thanks!!!!

Thanks MissC for the info. I will be calling my dealer next week to see what they are planning to do about fixing it. I have printed out the emails so that I can show them this is not an isolated incident.

I also need to have them check out my ignition. Twice now, after turning the key, cranking the engine and then releasing the key after the engine starts, the ignition stays in the start position and keeps cranking. I have to manually turn the key back to the on position. This really startles you when you are expecting it to do this on it's own!

I wonder if anyone else has experienced this or if it could have something to do with why the lights are coming on?

Sounds like something is funky with the tip start feature.
