I have been out of the country for most of the time that my Nitro has been here. I returned and snapped a few quick pics before my daughter drove off in it. Seems everybody wants to drive this little truck in my house.

I took pictures showing the interior as mine is an SXT fitted with two-tone black/Red leather seats. The red gives a nice splash of color to the Black.

I had to go this route because the SLT was not available with the 6speed. I am very happy with my choice. The leather is thicker has much nicer support than the factory leather seats in the Nitro's that I test drove.

I am very pleased with the 6 speed and I would have paid a premium to get it over the automatic, but in this case it saved me a grand or more to put into other goodies.

In the works are headers, dual exhaust with a Flowmaster 50, Jet stage 2 chip, low temp thermostat, and air intake (not yet decided on brand).

I'll post more pictures as soon as I can get back my Nitro from other family members.

Ken, your leather seats look very nice. You did good!
Thanks for the compliment, but I can't claim praise for the installation-- the dealer subbed that out for me.

I am thinking about the inferno red dash and door trim kit to go with the seats --- what do you think about that idea? Some people tell me that would be a bit too much.

Given the nice job you have done on every mod, I value your opinion.

I've got the Inferno Red dash/door trim, and I love it! It gives all the black in the interiour a little color - then again I have the all-black leather seats...

The only issue is that the center applique doesn't fit 100%, so that on the pass. side you can see a little bit of the aluminum color underneath. But as I am on the other side, I am not really affected by it.

Hey Ken, I haven't modified my interior at all because I can't decide if it would be too much either. I have been wavering back and forth. The only thing I have done for the interior is get a black dash mat. I should get that on tomorrow.

interior color

After looking at the black expanse of my dash for the last 2 days driving on vacation, the idea occurred to me. I think the textured panel above the glove box and the area around the instrument cluster might look good painted the same color as the exterior, like the interior of a PT Cruiser is. I don't even know if this is possible. Any ideas? If not then maybe the inserts on the doors? I just know there is a lot of black in there and I would like to get rid of some of it.

Other then the showing aluminum, to they look high quality?

In my SXT I will not have that issue as all the doors and dash are black.

Nice.... Thats what I want in my Nitro. Dealer told me it well cost 1600 bucks to do it :(
Negotiate harder on this. The first dealer told me 1800 bucks, then a second told me 1,000 and my final dealer gave me istalled leather for $900.

The perforated seating are leather that I have is about 100-200 more than solid leather. I don't think 2-tone is extra cost though.
