I just got some new H10 fog light bulbs and they are rated at 45W. The stock bulbs are 42W. Will the 3 watt higher bulbs be a problem?
I doubt that will be a problem. The wattage is actually a function of the voltage and current draw of the filament. It is most likely that the maker of the 45W bulbs just used a different nominal voltage to calculate the power.

Put on in, start the Nitro and let it run for about 5 min. If the light stays on you are fine. the TIPM (computeriszed) power module will shut down if too much power is consumed.

Again 42 vs 45 is not significant.

well, gave the 45w fogs a try. They flickered for a few secs and then went out. So, sent them back and got some 42w Luminics. 2500K yellow. They work great. I guess the Nitro's computer knows when a high wattage light is in. Kind of nice as I would rather have that then a melted harness.
I will be posting pics of new foglights as well as the new headlight bulbs.

Fogs= 42w yellow Luminics
Headlights= 55/60w Nokya Cosmic White bulbs

together these look real nice. Pics coming soon.

what HID foglights did you use??? Company?
This is a 12 year old thread. So I would not expect a response.
Also the 2011 Nitro uses a 24 watt fog bulb.
