My boat motor had been acting up and took a sample of gas from the bottom of the gas tank and found a little water.
Anyone know how to get the water out without draining the tank (20 gallons)?
Is there an additive or something that will breakdown the water?

They used to sell a special whick-like device that you can lower into the tank to sop up some water, but I agree with the others, if there is a lot of water--drain the tank.

For the future, avoid ALL E-10 gas as the alcohol attracts water and should never be used in a boat---especially a 2 stroke.

One other recomendation, install a fuel filter that has a water seperator on the bottom, this will help keep out small ammounts of water.
