Hey guy whats up, yanase imports is dropping off my 2007 dodge nitro tomorrow at 930 in the morning, I took it for a test drive and loved the car and it was one of the cheapest and nicest SUVs I could find in japan so I bought it and cant wait to take it to work tomorrow and show it off. I have quite a few questions so any help in my other posts would be greatly appreciated. Arigato

Welcome! Great to have you with us! What do they say about American cars there? Here the Toyota's and Honda's are always so highly rated. And what are the gas prices? Post some pictures and enjoy the forum!

well i would have to say that depends on the car, a toyota will always have better quality than a chrysler because of the fact that toyota has the strictest quality control department in the world for massly produced automobiles but for me to buy a toyota suv it would have cost me a lot more money compared to the bargain i got my nitro for, my nitro cost me about 40,000 dollars here or 4,000,000 yen for the R/T package and that was with me buying an 07 and getting 6 grand knocked off the sticker price, (all of the taxes are added in with the cars final price). Gas is about 130yen a litre which is roughly about 5 dollars a gallon but my gas is free here. Somebody actually told me that they might discontinue the nitro here because the trailblazer has taken most of the foreign suv market in japan, they already cancelled the jeep commander here which kinda sucks because gm vehicles here dont have the steering wheel on the right hand side like all of the chryslers do.

I never got the chance to go to Kobe. Osaka was awesome though. I got many pics from the castle. Wow, so much history. Kyoto was my favourite. I think it was Kinka-ju temple which is gold plated, that was so cool to see on a sunny day. We drove out to ''monkey mountain''?? north of Kyoto, can't remember too well I'd have to dig out my pics. We did the Shinkansen from Osaka to Tokyo but it was raining so Mt Fuji was obscurred...too bad, no pics of it. Had a blast in downtown Tokyo, got bombed with the Japanese guys I worked with, got bombed most nights actually...lol. Love to go back one day.
