I parked at the mall yesterday next to the only other vehicle and upon my return (20 minutes later) found I'd been keyed from the front of my driver door straight on thru past my gas cap!! :shakehead:

The neighboring truck was gone and I was left alone swearing in the parking lot. Any magical suggestions for removing that nasty scar? :thk:

how bad is is? you could look up my swirl mark remover solution and try it out. there is a scratch dr I used on my mom's ford yesterday and it works pretty good. if you have an electric buffer I would give it a try.

if it is too bad you may need to call the ins. company, but def. try to resolve it yourself first....people are soooo disrespectful and do not appreciate that we work hard for our stuff....I hate them!!

It's pretty deep Mean Girl ... almost like someone didn't like me too much. I will try to work on it myself first - I just don't want to risk ruining the finish or making it worse. I'll check out your suggestions and I appreciate your help.

I am sick for you.....people suck. if you have not ever used a buffer b4 it may be best to leave to the professionals. it could may be cheaper than the ins thing.

keep us posted! good luck!

That's disgraceful! That people can be so darn ignorant as to do something so completely horrid is just beyond me...I'm sorry something like that had to happen to you. :(

MG is SO right...there are just too many disrespectful people in the world, and the ones that are that way suck!

That just sucks!!! I feel your pain. Last week I went to the New Super Wal-Mart grand opening, I found an end parking place and pulled all the way to the left leaving a huge space between the car next to me. Well, I guess it wasn't enough and I got shopping carted on the passenger side...some people have NO respect for others stuff! I used some Eagle One Nano wax that helped a little but it's still there. I keep telling my self "It's just a thing, don't get upset" but that's hard to do!!!!

One of the many reasons to stay out of Wal-Mart Doc.

It sucks when people don't respect your property. If the scratch is deep enough to be into the color coat it will need to be painted then wet sanded and then clear coated. There is no easy fix.

I had my 72 Monte Carlo out last weekend for the first time in a month and had to stop in a couple of parking lots. Luckily I made it out without any injuries. My buddy in Arizona with the same car was not so lucky, he parked for 10 minutes in a parking lot only to return to his drivers fender kicked in. Yes, Kicked in. Foot print and all.

Face it people suck.

They did its called a tazer. Only helpful if you are watching your vehicle, but guaranteed to make you feel better shortly after use.
Guess I will be sleeping in Blue from now on!!:chuckle: I really hate people! Working in retail all these years...makes it worse!

Glycerin, I truly hope you can get the scratch out with out too much trauma. This really bites the big one!

That sucks. I had my old truck keyed in front of my girlfriends apartment one time (some joker who couldnt accept that she didnt want him no more) and the only way to fix it was painting both doors. The scratch was so deep, you could see bare grey metal in the white paint. People are just so ignorent. As for the electic car alarm, I used to live in 5th Ward (if you dont know about that area, its the worst in houston. theres an average of 3 robberies and one car jacking a week within like 20 blocks), but after my brother n laws car was broken into like 5 times, he started parking it in a large puddle of water, plugging an extension cord in, and cutting the other end off and sticking the electic end in the water. Lol We never caught anyone but we tried.

Two things for ya.
1)-Why did you park next to the "only " other vehicle in the lot?
2)-Check with mall security for a video surveilance, I have written summonses for vandalism(off of purely surveilence camera footage alone), and let the judge downgrade it in court under the pre-tense that they pay for the damages.
Anyway good luck, as someone who also takes their vehicular appearance serious I feel your pain as well.

Thanks for your sympathy .... Everyone .... it's nice to have your support ... you are a great group ... a little dysfunctional .... but what family isn't (lol)
