I've read posts where Nitro owners are approached about the look of their Nitros. I've had my Nitro for 4 months and until last month I was disappointed that no stranger had come up to me to comment on my Nitro. A month ago I was in a store when I noticed someone walking around my Nitro. He must have walked around it 7 times! I was not able to get out of the store before he left, but I could tell he liked it by his facial expressions. Today was my first personal encounter. I was at a stop light, with the windows down. The guy next to me yells over, "your car looks beautiful, I really like it". I had just washed it and was proud. I thanked him.

It's good to hear from the admiring public!

I was idling in the drive-up line at an El Pollo Loco yesterday, and the line passes by the outdoor diners. Two ladies sitting at a table stopped in mid-bite when I pulled alongside, staring at my Nitro. One said "WOW, what IS that!??" The line moved up so I got past them and didn't hear all the rest of their comments, but I did catch "That is REALLY CUTE!"

I'm not sure "cute" would by my favorite word to describe our Nitros' looks, but it was all good in any case.

A few days ago one of those professional street cyclists, all decked out in those racing-type color outfits and looking like a champ, was waiting at a stoplight as I slowed down to make a turn. He checked out my ride and gave me a cool "thumbs-up" -- what I know from my days of mountain bike riding (a whole different crew than street cyclists) is that those street riders play it way cool and are really hard to impress, let alone compliment others!

It is always a good feeling to catch someone checking out your ride!! Except when you work in a not so good part of town and see someone walking around your Nitro....then you get a little nervous!!!
