Hi everyone, we just got the first shipment of nitros down here, I am considering a red SXT with luxury(SLT) I am 99% sure I will be getting one soon...I currently own a 2003 Calais (you guys have the GTO Pontiac) with a 5.7L LS1 motor, so i will notice the power difference but i sorta want to get back into an allrounder type car...no doubt ill be on ebay USA getting some stuff that we cant get for them here....lol

Ill go the 3.7L V6, i wish they bought a supercharged V6 or a V8 model out, id buy that for sure.

The RRP is 45K AUD for the model I want.

What are yall thoughts on them now?? still comfy?? reliable and are all you current owners still loving your cars??

Ill be hanging around ;)

Yeah ours was about that figure, we got the wheels through the dealer but from a wheel shop up here so i could pick them out. The wheels are great cos they are like 4 sets in 1, has 10 inserts in 2 different types that u can put on or off. We paid a little less than the 47k for the car, but put all the options on, eg Door Sills, Grill Inserts, Wheels and Bug Deflector. We luckily scored two years free comprehensive insurance the day we picked it up too!!!

Absolutly loving the car, love cruising around in it, feels real cruisy, and gets heaps and heaps of looks, at least been stoped and asked 20 times on two weeks as to what it was, where to get one from and how much.

Fuel usage isnt too bad atm, bout 14-15l per 100km, which is about the same as the ss, but its worth it. :pepper:

Gooday Mate...

Of course we still love our cars.... Well apart from a few reliability issues they are fine.

Anyway if you are used to Holdens you will find these cars to be so much better. We hear that Holdens are close to he bottom of the barrel as for customer satisfaction.

I have a friend in Sydney and he tells me the local built cars are only sold as Taxis or for rental car companies...

$47? I'm confused.

If you got the Petrol SXT model, its only $40K plus on roads isn't it? I assume on roads are about $2.5 to $3K or is there more hidden charges? How much is the luxury pack?

I'm looking at the SXT Diesel without any extras and hoping to get out of it for $45K, ($43,500 RRP before on roads). Can anyone who has bought one in Australia give us a break down of the on road costs?

OK, here is a break down;

Nitro SXT 3.7 V6 $39,990
Metallic Paint $300

CTP $344
Rego $440
Luxury Pack $3,000

Total $46,913 Incl GST

Now i used to work in a dealership and i know that the real dealer dilivery is about 200-300 bucks..so they are making some cash there.

Righto, thanks for that. So the Diesel would be $43.5 plus about $2500 in white colour so $46K is reasonable. I'm not looking at the luxury pack.

Dealer delivery sucks hey! Thats a lot of money in their pocket per sale.

Hey guys,
I am from the Central Coast NSW and just bought my SXT Deisel for $47,450. $44,450 is the drive away price for the SXT Petrol from CCMG.com.au. They would not discount at all but did throw in the Hood graphic and gave me a good price for a trade on a 2003 Mazda 6 so i am happy.
I would have shopped round but that means travelling 1 1/2 hours to Sydney so could not be bothered with the traffic and hassel.
Not sure what your dealers are like but they cannot keep up here with stock, as soon as they come in they are walking back out the door.
I wanted to go Blue but the wife likes the black which still looks great.
Enjoy

Hey,
Good new and bad news.

Good news I pick up by Black SXT 2.8CRD late on Saturday :ura1:.

Bad news is that I ordered a towbar too and according to the dealer they have to wait for Dodge to receive a number of orders before they will purchase. Know does that mean there is non in the country and they will ship a number from the US?

This has pissed me right off as I have a boat whichI have to move this weekend so I can put the roof on my garage and I have already paid the $750 AUSD to have the bloody thing fitted.

Dealer cannot say when it will arrive but if I wanted to launch the boat he said I could come to the shop and swap it for a jeep for the day which I suppose is a kind gesture but then again I have just given them lots of money so they should be nice.

Anyone else in Australia order a towbar and been told the same?

Still very excited about tomorrow, hope it does not rain.
