Good Heater

The weather here has turned quite cold and the windchill has added a big bite into the temps. Minus 43 celsius with the windchill right now and I'm really impressed with the heater in the Nitro. Get's nice and warm, of course I'm half frozen already and won't completely thaw until about mid-March. Anyways, two thumbs ups for the heater in the Nitro. :)

I agree..on full blast my Nitro doesnt seem to be blowing out much air..but it gets HOT inside pretty quick!
10 degrees F here today & the Nitro cab heated up inside of 5 - 7 minutes.
Trying to figure the mirrors out. I think they thaw when you turn on the rear defroster. The sales guy said they were automatic...... I'm here to tell ya their not.
They thaw with the rear window same switch just like my Dak, we have been running single digits for about a week & the heater can make you break a sweat in no time boss loves it.

Seriously!!! at 10 F why do you need to turn on your rear defrost?? After experiencing minus 43 celsius (minus 45 fahrenheit) that's almost T-shirt weather. :D
You crazy northerns...im freezing my butt off here with this 30-40'F weather :60:

Yea, you canucks are built for that kinda weather. I went quad riding with some guys from Edmonton. We all wore thick heavy Carharts & they wore t-shirts & jeans! :4-jump2:

The rear defrosters (and the mirror defrosters for that matter) are for us lazy asses who don't bother to brush the snow off the window. Just get in & go baby! :beerchug:
Us lazy asses love the heated seats too! It was a pleasure driving this morning in the ice and snow. The walking in to work bit wasn't so much fun, but the driving was a blast!
This heater really blows!

This heater really blows,
Hot air that is!
I hope the A/C works as well in the summer as the heater does in the winter!
A couple of days ago I tried the air conditioner. We had 2 days of above 80 deg weather. Now it is back down to a bone chillin' 65 deg brrrrrrr:Banana01:

I am happy to announce that the air works just as good as the heater!
Well it looks like everyone is happy with the HVAC systems. I myself hope we do not have to experience any of that minus stuff. I get cold around 50. Must have something to do with age!!
Woke up to -36 C, with the windchill it's -48 Celsius (-54 F) Whoa!! It's chilly today!!! See how well the Nitro's heater performs today.

I find the heater is very good on the Nitro too. We don't get it as cold as NT here in Southern Ontario, we only get to about -25'c winchill, but it is very quick to warm up. The kids say the back is always cold though. I need to find the best setting for all. It's still 21' here so I need to wait a week or so till we crank it on for the winter.

I leave for work at 6am and it's still a bit chilly at that hour. I put on the heat on the lowest possible setting and I'm boiling in no time! I haven't had my Nitro during winter yet (took delivery in May), so I'm looking forward to seeing how it performs!

We're getting our first snowfall this morning and it's now 28 degrees F. Guess I'll be enjoying that heater in the morning on the way to work!

try to get some pics for our Southern friends who don't get snow!! :D
Here in SoCal we have what are called "santa ana" winds - translated to "hot and dry"! Today we will be in the mid 80s and mid week up to 100!! So needless to say I haven't used my heater lately LOL!
I would trade it for snow any time!!!!

you know, we complain about the weather a lot, but I like having seasons. Although, I think I would like sun and dry weather a lot too!:4-sunshine:
I think the Nitro's heater is great too, and what pleasantly surprised me was how quickly it starts putting out heat. That may lessen the need for me to add remote start for the Mrs, we'll see. Umm....heated mirrors? Is that an SLT/RT thing?
