Well, as some of you probably know, I had to have my entire front bumper replaced because of the dog. It was in the shop for over a week but I finally got it back today. The total cost of having the bumper replaced and painted was $716, more than half of which was labor. Seems kind of excessive to me. It took them 8 hrs to put the bumper on and 3 hours to paint it. They must have included their lunch break! lol

Good for you! Lets try to make the summer without any incidents, OK corsair!!

Body shop work is very expensive. I got an estimate today to color match four splash guards, four side window vent visors, the two fake side vents on the front fenders, the upper 40% of both side mirrors, the two black plastic 'C' pillars (on the rear door frame), paint the racing stripes on both sides of the rear of the Nitro, place the decals, and clear coat everything. $1,086.00. They told me all the plastic pieces, mirrors, 'C' pillars, and fake vents that have the texture on them have to be sanded smooth to get the paint to adhere. I am going to let them have it for a week starting June 4th.

Re the "paint sticking to plastic", make sure the shop uses a "plastic primer", sutch as "Dupont 329P", without it the paint will peel off in no time.
