I was minding my own business on my way home lastnight and got rear-ended!!
I am soooo mad! The guy hit the wrong Nitro! I don't think that he was prepared for me at all! I am pretty laid back until you mess with me. He was trying to be funny and act like it was not big deal. Well it wasn't for him since he was in a rental car!! The damage isn't that bad but that soooo isn't the point. I do have to say that I wasn't sure how the bumper would do but It was solid and he hit me pretty good! The bumper takes impact well. So I'm glad for that.
I think that I ran out of 4 letter words to say!! :SHOCKED:He even said that it was "nice to meet you" before we parted ways! I couldn't believe how he was acting. Now I have to go and get my baby checked out.

Yes it's never good no matter when you are in a bumper bender. I remember back a few years ago I had a cherry '79 Trans Am and was going through a drivethru. It was taking for ever and this guy in an Isuzu decided he didn't want to wait anymore and put his truck into reverse while I was in line behind him. He ended up on my hood even though I was trying to get into reverse myself. He was really sorry and his son was laughing at him. He paid for the repairs in cash though so I guess it was OK. Here's a pic of it. Glad I didn't need much in parts because they are hard to come by. Atleast you can get parts for a Nitro.

If the Nitro is anywhere near as tough when hit from behind as my old Liberty was, its good. I got rear ended by a lady in a Nissan. Her car was smashed, and the Lib only had a paint scrape on the bottom of the bumper. The dealer did repaint the bumper and swing gate, since her hood had contact with the spare hanging out there and had a slight deformation of the sheet metal by the tire hanger.

Very Sharp TA Ponchonutty...bet that made you want to scream. I am amazed there arent more accidents then there are with the way people drive these days and not only that do everything else in their car at the same time.

I have found that running out of 4 letter words is impossible...

Consider RECYCLING your 4 letter words! Use them over and over again! Not only is it effective, but the feeling lasts sooo much longer, and the effect is just as good! Plus, recycling is ALWAYS a good thing these days!

Think *@!$ing GREEN!

that's funny! Sorry to hear about your ride though. I t-boned a 1 ton flatbed truck in a piece of crap escort (he ran the light) I flipped him over or uh my hood flipped him as he ran over it. I was cussing him out while he was still upside down:chuckle: and I was only 17.

That's awful. Hope the repairs go well. I actually rear-ended someone before the Nitro was a month old, but there was no damage to her car and just a small unoticable wrinkle in my front bumper. If you didn't know where it was at, you wouldn't notice it. I think the Nitro body is built pretty well.

yeah I will have to recycle my words! Hopefully I won't get any more practice. I really don't think that he expected me to be so hot headed about it. He should be really thankful that my kids weren't in the car!!
I spent all day on the phone with insurance companies. :shakehead: Now it's just the waiting.....
