I'm interested in putting a GPS in my SLT, does anyone have any suggestions or hints? I've read through all the threads here, but I don't really need any alterations to the stereo itself, not being a real music afficiando, all I need is something that will fit and tell me where to go.

Short of waiting for the mysterious 'My Gig' radio, Mopar also offers a Garmin made piece. It's called the Navus. The unit is removable from the docking station. Includes map data for the US (including Hawaii & Alaska) and Canada. Usues turn by turn directions, voice prompts and color screen touch controls. Part number is 82210209. Looks like it lists for $900, but you may be able to get it cheaper thru one of the supporting vendors.

Thank you so much radioman! I appreciate the info!! The My Gig has much more than I really need. I'll look into the Navus. Thanks again!

I don't know if cash is a concern but you can find similar systems from garmin at
retail electronic stores for $300 - $400. You can use the rest of the cash to get something else for your nitro.

Thank you! Are they all about the same size? I don't know anything about these, obviously! I wouldn't want to buy something that won't fit in the dash.

Most have 3-4 inch screens and are about the same depth. The more you pay the larger the screen and features. You should do a search for gps systems you will get a wide variety of models along with the features they come with. You probably won't use most of the features and extras that they come with. Only pay for what you will use.

I will do that, thank you very much for your help!

I wouldnt waste the money on the Navus II, you can get a much nicer Garmin or Magellan unit for cheaper..My semi-complete install:

Holy Cow NitroWill! Does your Nitro drive itself too? I hope you have the Laptop in the passanger seat fold down! Your Baby has it all!!!
the tomtom one and the garmin c330 are great units and sell for about $300. i think officemax or office depot has the tomtom one for $250 right now. it's a great unit with bluetooth built in. we just bought one for my non-tech savvy dad and he loves it. you can check techbargains.com for deals. i always do...

I have a work issued GPS unit that comes in and out so no permanent mounting system. I just use the Rhino suction cup and it fits well. I am currently using the Garmin Street pilot 7200 with XM radio installed (yes Ihave my sirius activated as well). It's got a fairlyl large screen and doubles as a DVD Screen for my Ipod Video or any other DVD Device. I also have a few extra doo-dads visible in the picture as well.
