Has anyone installed a High Def radio system yet?

The new Blue has the Sirrus and I must say I am not all that impressed with the sound quality - sounds like listening to the music through a megaphone. The cd & radio quality are fine but the sat leaves a lot to be desired for me so I was wondering about HD.

The new HD radios sound near CD quality but there are very few stations in most areas. I think it is certainly worth it but only if there are a bunch of stations in the genre of music that you listen to in your area.

Do a search for HD radio stations and see what you can find in your area first.

I felt the same way about the sound quality of Sirius when I had it installed years ago. It sounded muffled but did work great on road trips and not having to find and search for stations for weather and traffic.

I've had the JVC HD radio now a few years and I like it. There is a difference in sound quality when the HD gets tuned in.

I am surprised with the explosion in mp3 player use anyone even listens to the radio anymore!

I have quite a large cd collection... I don't do shoes I do cds LOL! Also a lot of cds with mp3s - so yes we listen to all. But I still go back to my KROQ. Hubby found an adapter... http://www.diceelectronics.com/ - but Dodge is not listed. Still looking at the options.

Ace you have the JVC in your Nitro or another vehicle?

There's allot of good stuff on HD radio. Allot of old and new music and some even unsigned bands. And it's 95% commercial free. And it's sound is clear.

Ok folks I have searched til my blue eyes are going red!

My BetterBlue did not come with the factory installed sub and amp. Is the wiring there for those compents even though not installed?

I don't beleive the wiring is there. I can't find the thread that answered this just now. Can anybody else find it?
