Hi All,

New to working on cars, so I apologize in advance for a noob question.

I am replacing the entire headlight assembly. I have gone through the forum and know what needs to be done. The only issue I am running into is how to unplug this connector. I was able to unplug the main headlight and blinker, but this one is different and causing me a lot of grief because it is hard to get to. What is the proper way to unplug this?

Hi and welcome,
some of these connectors can be very difficult, but basically the red part is just a locking clip, best way is to use a small flat screwdriver to prise them apart, being a contortionist really helps getting to some of them, there is no easy way around this,
it's no big deal if red part breaks, the connectors are still locked together pretty good without them, once the red part is seperated then push down on the small black tab then pull them apart,
i once had to remove a rear ABS sensor, same thing no room to swing a cat, red part would not budge, ended up breaking it, whole job was a PIA

Sweet! I'll give it a shot, thank you! They are a PITA, glad I'm not the only one who has struggled with these.
