Hey everyone,

My car recently started blowing cold air when idling and also the temperature gauge has been riding when this happens. When I start driving, the temp gauge goes back to normal and the heat starts getting hot again. I had the thermostat replaced about a year ago and I had my heater core replaced about six months ago. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be?

water pump blades worn down not sure how this happens but there have been a few cases here on the forum, serp belt not routed correctly, heater hoses connected the wrong way round, thermostat installed the wrong way around,
sorry don't have any definate answer,
