I got a quote from my local upolstery shop to install heated seats, at least $750, depending on work involved mounting the switches! Holy mackerel, is there that much labor/parts to do this job? Guy said he prolly can't put switches in factory location, what's with that? Thanks, Douglas

Boy that sure sounds pricey to me. Parts can't be more than $100 to $150 I would think. Say $150. That leaves $600 for labor. Assume $80 an hour for labor, that works out to 7.5 hours of labor. At first blush, that sounds high to me. If I had a shop quote it for about half that price, I would definitely have them installed myself.

I just got another quote over the phone $400, sounds better. Guy says they use better than factory mats, don't break over time. He wants to see it about installing switches in factory panel. I wish I had a schematic on how to take apart the dash. Thanks, Douglas
