i will. i just am doing my best to not rack up the miles if i decide to not bite on the deal. it will be a bump in a monthly payment not to mention a stretch to put a down payment down at this moment in time. i got to have something with more room and better mileage. i drove on the highway last night with the cruise set at 60mph and was averaging 25-27mpg. much better then the 15mpg i see in the jeep and that is cruise set at 55mph and 12mpg i see in the city:shakehead:

or you can also go to edmunds dot com and find the "true market value" or in other words the average price people are paying for it. i'm so glad we had a purchase plan thru work cause the true market value isnt that much less than the msrp. it saved me almost 3 grand. most dealers arent going down much on the nitro being that its the first model year.

R/T is nice but at what cost? What do you need?

HI , I have the R/T 2wd and drive it very conservatively and 20 mpg is all you are gonna get. The thing is made for towing a boat or something.
I really like the truck, but don't expect more than 20.
I would stay with what you have. You sound like you are going to make a lateral move for a big cash layout.

The Nitro R/T Is Too Exciting to Drive Conservatively

I disagree. I have a 4-wheel-drive R/T and have been averaging 18.2 city and 21.9 highway. This is with 500 miles on the vehicle. Mileage has increased since it was new and continues to increase. On the highway, I set the cruise control at 65 mph. I do not drive particularly conservatively, however. The Nitro R/T is simply too exciting to drive conservatively!

i need a vehicle that will tow, i have to have more room. a small jeep simply does not have that. i have a small dog that goes everywhere with me and his crate takes up the entire rear of the jeep w/ the rear seat folded down. i looked into many of the small wagons on the market like the subarus and audi's but they simply were not big enough.

if we can agree on a deal that is not too much of a beating i can see myself being very happy in the long term with the nitro. as long as the math allows for it.
