Hi everyone. I checking in from the charger side. I am starting to do some research on purchasing a Nitro for my wife. I know how helpful everyone is. I was wondering if there are any common issues with these vehicles. We will be using it to tow a 3500lb pop-up trailer. Right now we are using a Montana, I was wondering how much better the Nitro would be at these tasks. Also, being 6'4" how comfortable are these things to drive for taller people. I think that these are all the questions I have for now. Thanking you all in advance.

Hello and welcome nanook, to the best forum on the net.
Enjoy the ride. :Racing:
There is a lot of information and great members here.

I have the 3.7L 4X4 Standard 6 speed, and have have had no problems towing my 5'X12' trailer loaded with firewood from our place in the mountains. I am only 6' tall but long legged and armed (6'3" span). This is the first ride I have had, that I don't need to have the seat all the way back to be comfortable. As a matter of fact, if it is all the way back, I can't get the clutch to the floor.
Hope this info helps.

Welcome to the forum!

Yep plenty of head & leg room in the Nitros. It was one of the selling points for us - my older son is 6'1" at 16 and slightly handicapped so we really needed good room front and back.

If you have any question please don't hesitate to ask!

Hey nannok, welcome to our side...:) I'm 6' 1'' and have no problems. Very comfortable in fact. The 4.0 R/T doesn't have the tranny issues that the 3.7L has. The other option is the 3.7 with the 6 speed stick. Like all vehicles, some love it and some hate it....:)

Ya, we are kinda looking @ the 3.7 with the stick and the trailer package (we both like standards) and am kinda glad now that I have seen some of the issues some have had with the auto. The footwell space on the left side seems to be another issue. How bad is it? I am a bit concerned with this especially with the stick and the extra pedal.

Hello and welcome!:wavey:
I hope you enjoy the board! I am a midget so I have tons of room!:chuckle: The only thing that bothers some of my taller friends is having to duck down into the Nitro. But once inside, lots of room!
