Hello, my wife and I own a 2007 Light Khaki Nitro. Just wanted to see what forums where out there to get some information. We have owned the Nitro for approximately 4 months. My wife is the main driver, and she loves it!

We really need to get a new Hood also. We got caught in a hail storm and it wasn't good. If anyone knows of a good place to go for a cheap new hood or has one to sell please let us know.

Hello and welcome!:wavey:
I am sorry to hear of your damage, I wish I knew where you could find a replacement hood other than the dealer. Don't recall seeing any of those on ebay. I hope you find the forum informative and fun!

welcome to the forum pune91. I'm sorry to hear about the damage. won't your insurance cover it? there aren't many replacement hood manufacturers out there and the one's I've seen were very expensive.

Thanks for all the replies and help. Well I don't know how bad everything really is. The top of the Nitro is pretty bad too. My wife said if we just did the hood for now that would make her happy. We have a 1000.00 deductable so I don't know if fixing or replacing the hood would even add up to that much. If we did the roof as well, probably so.

This is a cool forum and looks like it has a ton of information. Thanks again for the help.

I will have to call the insurance company today. If there is a lower deductable for acts of nature that would be awesome! I will have to post later today about that. I just feel bad for her. She used to have a 1998 Honda Accord so this was pretty much her first new vehicle. She loves the Nitro compared that old Accord.

my comp dedectible is $99, but I have never used it so I would think that is anything that is not a collision....good luck and let us know, but if it is covered under insurance do not let then bondo and sand then repaint....it is an ugly nightmare, that happened to my door and I pitched a fit and got a new door skin, it cost them more in the long run, but I am happy so that's all that I care about.

I am the main driver of our nitro too and I came from a mustang....I love it!!

good luck!
