I was wondering if anyone could help point me in the right direction for my problem. I just picked up a 2007 Dodge nitro SXT with the 6 speed manual and 3.7L engine. All the headlights work fine. When my headlights are on the signal lights work perfectly. When my headlights are off, and just running on daytime running lights, the left signal shorts out both sides of my daytime running lights. The right signal does not effect it whatsoever. I checked the wires and everything looks OK as far as I can tell.

Does anyone have any suggeestions or where I might look to start diagnosing this problem?

Thank you.

Welcome to the forum Pslice. When you have a chance, head over to the Newbie Section and say "Hi".
Tell us a little about yourself and your ride.
That way we can welcome you all proper like.

Does it pop a fuse?
I'd pull the plugs and make sure all the ground wires are still functioning. It could be back feeding thru the other wires.
Also test the plugs for power when the switch is "on" in both positions (running lights, all lights & turns.).
If all that checks out, it may be the switch itself.

Technical?
Do the symptoms change if you wiggle or move the turn signal lever about.?
