I just bought a 2008 Nitro the day after Christmas. We love it and so does everyone who sees it. Drove it up to the ski resorts in about a foot of snow on the road, no problem! 4 wheel drive with new Bizzaks on, Unstoppable! We really are impressed with it.

It's an Electric Blue SLT 4WD. We love it here too, I have been here my whole life. We have some really good friends here that move from Florida about 2 years ago. I think they are finally getting used to the cold.

Welcome to the forum.

Yes, the Nitro looks like the ideal ski vehicle.

I am planning on taking mine to the slopes in Western NC in a few weeks.

If you don't already have one, check out Mopar the ski rack for the Nitro.

You'll also have to buy the sport bars to mount them.

welcome to the forum NightRow, gald you enjoy it and your new Nitro. I was also impressed with the handling in the ice and snow. Never having an SUV before, it was terrific not worrying about anything on the road. Post some pics when you get a chance.

Yep NightRow. The weather's cold up there but the people are warm. I kinda remember losing my shirt in Billings a couple times. I had a dealer friend there and I'd pop in every once in a while to say Hi.. Cost me money every time. Again good luck with that SLT.

Welcome to the forum Nightrow.

After reading a few posts about skiing, I thought I would share my story of my ski trip in the Nitro.

Me and a buddy recently went skiing in Wisconsin. It was about an hour and a half drive. We folded down half of the back seat and with it folded, there was plenty of room for my skis.

About half way through the day, we stopped to eat. The lounge was full so we went to my Nitro to eat the food we brought. We pulled out the load and go. We put all the food in the little storage part of the load and go (the part that is normally covered up). Then we sat on the load and go and had a "picnic" lol. With the music blasting, it was a really good time. The Nitro is a great tailgating vehicle.
