No posting around the censor in the open forum.

If you're going to use a word that will trip the censor it will appear as ****, if you post around the censor by misspelling, or adding extra spaces, the word will be removed by a member of the administration team, without an infraction warning for bad language.

The next time and all subsequent times you'll receive an infraction, and if you didn't know it, after three infractions the system automatically bans you.

This is NOT a new rule. This is a rule that you agreed to when you signed up and read the TOS.

You did read the TOS, right?????

We all know what you are getting at when you are angry when posting, so adding in the foul language isn't necessary and may be offensive to some. We strive to keep this forum to open to people of all ages and as offensive free as possible.

Thank you for your co-operation in helping to keep our site foul language clean.

You want people to type the offensive language the correct way, so the language censor will automatically edit it, rather than for us to mistype it or censor our selfs by using characters instead of the letters. Correct?

If we let the language censor "automatically edit" the correctly spelled offensive word we will or will not receive a strike?

If an admin corrects, removes, or edits a misspelled offensive word we will receive a strike.

this is getting stressful...lol. what if the censor misses a bad word...like a really bad one, then what? how can we be 100% sure it will catch the word? what if I think a word is bad and the censor doesn't? i need a drink....lol

I was quoting my boss, so if he said it then it is ok!

Read what it says.....he doesn't want people to use symbols etc.. to get around writing the bad word. He would rather the censor star it out. But if you know it is a bad word, then why even say it in the first place. Its not that we WANT people to swear here!!:chuckle:

I'm not trying to be a jerk, I am only asking these questions because I think all the members here need to know what is expected of them, and the consequences of their actions.

Assuming the members here know how to spell bad words correctly! :i_rolleyes:

We wouldn't want an otherwise good, contributing, and productive member to get banned, because they were censored by the "language censor" and did not know they would receive a strike. I certainly am not going to test it to find out.

In the long run, if you don't use offensive language then there is nothing to worry about. End of story. :smileup:

I wasn't trying to be a jerk either. The powers that be don't want us to try to spell out the bad words in such a way to get around the language censor. It is when you do THAT you get an infraction. When you let the censor do what it was set up to do is when you are ok. Bottom line....just don't have a potty mouth!
