Hi all,
My name is Kimberly and I am the proud owner of a 2008 Brilliant Black R/T, and I just thought I'd stop lurking and finally make a post.

Already got the Mod bug, as my checking account reflects. Looking forward to being a part of this crew.

Oh, and I'll have a ton of questions, I hope you guys don't mind. I'll be sure to search before asking any though.

Yes, we were thinking about going to the gtg, hopefully we will have good weather for it. So far the Mods are, Bug deflector, Side air deflectors, Rear deflector (Which I haven't installed yet....looks scary), Sunroof air deflector, Chrome sills, Molded splash guards, Bullguard rear bumper guard & Aries nerf bars (not installed yet). Oh and the brand new 4.0L twin turbo kit that Borg Warner just came out with for the R/T.

Thinking about chrome mirror covers too, but i'm not too sure if I should go with the OEM covers or the aftermarket ones...any ideas on that?

Will be sure to post pics as soon as mods are all installed.

Thanks everyone!

BTW, I'm curious as to why nobody made any comments on the twin turbo setup I said I was getting...

I'm totally surprised noone inquired...

Well, to clarrify I was just being a smart ass and thought somebody would've called BS for a laugh.

I was kinda eluding to the fact that I wish the R/T was just a tad bit peppier than it is. So I guess one of my other future mods will be power related ;)

I'm also hoping that once my engine is broken in that it will get up and go a little better. My husband tells me that the old thinking of "easy break in" for a few thousand miles is no longer the rule and to get on it pretty hard a few times a week.

Any thoughts on this?

TIA,
Kimberly

Actually Kimberly, your post got me to wondering. I figured you were kidding but I decided to look around anyways because I've always wanted more power in my Nitro. I found a place out in Minnesota I think it was that drops hemi engines in Jeeps. Mostly Wranglers of all things. I started thinking, "well if they do jeeps they would probably do a Nitro as well." They have 3 different Hemi engines they drop in to a Jeep, a 5.7 Hemi, a 6.1 Hemi and a 6.4 Hemi. Then I looked at the price. The price just for the 5.7 Hemi with new crate engine, tranny, radiator, engine flash etc is a mere $18,500. I don't think I'll be getting one anytime soon now, lol.

Kimberly, these new cars control so many things with the computer and the computer "learns" how you drive and sets shift points and other things based on how you drive so there is a thought that if you "drive it like you stole it" it will train itself to shift later and give you more pep in your step.

Welcome to the forum and I doubt that anyone here will call BS on you, no matter what you post.

Cool. Very interesting stuff BLU. Should I assume it takes a couple k before it begins to actuate?
