Whats up everybody? Its been a while since i posted a thread but 2 weeks ago i ordered 2 HID kits for my Headlamps & Fog Lamps. I was just sick and tired of the silver star bull**** bulbs i bought, it just wasn't doing it for me.

The Headlight kit installed with no problem. The Nitro has 2 perfect locations to mount the ballast right to the wheelhouse which leaves enough room for everything to fit just right. Installation took me a good hour & a half. I will post pics once i finish the fog lamps because they do have an issue.

The relay for our fog lamps doesn;t have enough power. Right when i hooked up the HID kit to the fogs they turn on for a sec and then shutdown right after. So hopefully tonight i will have time to put in a 40amp relay, rewire everything and see if that will keep those bad boys on.

Hopefully tonight i will get them installed and then i will take pics and post them right away.

Whats up Lil?

The 6000K looks amazing & how i got bi xenon, my high beams are also HID which lights up a whole block...which is pretty cool.

The brand i purchased was Techone Conversion Kit from a guy in Brooklyn, NY. I found him by looking on ebaymotors for place that would take the order over the phone so the order wouldnt get F'D up. Very nice guy and i got the HID Kits the next day by UPS.

And for your final question which i did answer in my post before is that the Silver Star Bulbs are a waste of money. The H13 Bulb itself is still NEW so not to many companies make super white bulbs for that make. The Silver Stars look very similiar in my opinion do stock so i would treat yourself and by an HID Kit. You will be very pleased with the final product to the point where you will sit outside and stare at the Nitro at night with the lights on and say "Wow that looks F'N sick!!"

Thanks a ton. I have H13 Lumanics right now in my R/T and I am very dissapointed. Did you have to do any modifications to the plug?

If you don't mind me asking what did they cost and does he have a store on eBay? If so whats his eBay screenname?

Thanks a ton!

Honestly Lil i dont remember the name of his store. I was just clicking on random hid kits and saw that he was in brooklyn and listed his number so i called. His price was a little high but last time i was thinking of putting HID's on one of my vehicles 3 years ago the price was 499.99 so i thought in my head i got a good deal. The H13 Bi Xenon was $290.00 with a 1 year warranty.
His number is 917 532-6836. Give him a call and see what he can do for u.

it's a little tricky - This one came with a mini relay box how they are Bi Xenon and it did not plug in directly you need to match up 3 wires to the stock plug on the driverside then after that it's easy.

The one thing i loved that dodge did on this vehicle is that they added right above you LT FT Wheel a little circle cap that you can remove and that gives you access to mount the ballast on the LT Side. If it wasn't for that it would have been hard because i didn't drill any holes i used holes that were already there and then took screws and nuts and got them on that way. But look above the LT FT Wheel and you will see what i mean....its pretty cool.

In the next hour or so the shop should slow down and im gonna pull my car in and get those HID's hooked up to my fog lights and i'll let you know how that goes. But those are plug and play so it should be rather easy after i wire this 40 amp relay somewhere

Installation details?

I have the type that moves the bulb up and down.

Last night i did install the HID's on the fog lamps and they look sick - I will post pics either today or tomorrow:ura1:
I am wondering how difficult the installation of the kit is and curious how the stock bulb socket is changed into a socket that allows the bulb to move?

Is this type of high/low beam light from an aftermarket company reliable and sturdy - long lasting without trouble from road vibration etc.

I really want to get HID on my Nitro R/T soon, but don't want trouble and regret the purchase a few months down the road. I have the money to get a kit, so now it is just a matter of finding the right ones for both headlights and fog lamps, like you have done. So, if you don't mind, please post what brand kits you purchased, from where and the total cost for everything.

Also please give us any installation tips, do's and don't's to look out for.

Thanks

I can't answer all your questions but our stock headlight bulbs do the same thing where it moves to position the high beam.

Are they going to last? I cant tell you that answer, i was thinking the same thing but i have wanted HID's on my vehicles for such a long time that i said F it and i just decided to do it. But i will keep you posted if there are problems.

Price, name of brand, store..... i already listed all that information before, just look through the post and you will see all that information.

With the Fog Lamps you need to setup a 40 amp bosch relay and it will need some wiring work to me done. The fog lamps are not an easy install and they are very bright. So you also need to decide if you want to get pulled over every now and then for that. I was use to getting pulled over in my bright green celica so it really doesn't bother me.
