Hi to all,

i need to change wires on my Dodge Nitro fuel lift pump connector. I is not obvious how to unwire / unplug the pins of the connector.

  • unplugging from which side? I assume from the rear side?
  • which tool is recommended? (no needles please)
  • what is the connector manufacturere? AMP, Delphi ...?
  • any idea of connector part number and part name?

Dvi cable Automotive lighting Toy Motor vehicle Electrical wiring

Hope on your great ideas how to pull the pins ... but not by chainsaw 🙏

Thanks and stay healthy
Fritz

Hi teahead, big thanks for the link ... Yes .. this is a set of possibilities. Chinese way of tooling for desperate Dodge mechanics?

Yes I need a tool .. but not 70 ways to kill my connector plug .. I remember having killed a Buell harness this way 10 years before.

Now i have a solution without a solution ( rofl)

I would prefer this set of 18 plug killers

Boah, Jan .. Cool stuff .. Great as every time! Those desingers / engineers of connectors must have been patients in an insane asylum. Pull something if you expect to push, twist if you expect to pull, all those insane ideas are collected in these crazy little things. And best of all, these locks are always on the dark and invisble side of the connection.

Arghh .. But i will try.

Pin Table: As i have disassembled the OEM lift pump,i know what to connect and what not. As current state, simple plug and hope to play will blow the fuses or much better, the relay in the TIPM.

by the way ... http://connectors.dcctools.com is a cute site!

Thanks to all, and greets to the (teahead) cat ...
