I’ve changed all my Spark Plugs, changed all my Ignition Coils, got a new EGR Valve put on, and still my car is misfiring. I’m not sure what the issue is it just started messing up when I hit 160xxx miles... I think I’m going to just sell this car I’m sick and tired of spending my whole check to fix stuff with this car. It’s fun to drive when it isn’t telling me something is wrong with it... not only has it been misfiring but I’ve also been losing coolant at an extremely high pace. I could fill up my coolant reservoir and by the next day it would be almost empty, small leaking under my car tried to get it checked out and different people keep telling me different stuff.. idk I’m done with this car I can’t even freaking enjoy it anymore

Was the timing belt and water pump replaced at 100K miles?

Sorry to hear of all your troubles, I too had misfiring issues a while back and was banging my head against the wall. I changed out virtually everything I could think off and still it persisted.

fortunately for me I run a duel fuel LPG/gasoline system and was able to determine the issues were only related to the stock gasoline fueling system. When I ran on LPG There no issues. This eliminated common components like spark plugs, coil packs etc.

it was a stoichiometric ratio issue beyond the scope of what I could diagnose or resolve myself, and one several Dealers couldn’t resolve either.

the truck is pretty much a rolling computer and in my case with “a mind of it’s own”. Putting up with for months it eventually started behaving and to date I have never had a repeat leading me to conclude it was a bug in the system resolving itself over time.

I feel your pain, but throwing parts at it isn’t a realistic way of resolving these glitches, I know from bitter experience.

I’ve now found a race tuning specialist local to me who is a bit of an ace, if it happens again it goes to him and not the part swapping dealers.

Although I’m in the U.K. there are no doubt many tuning specialists with Chrysler expertise in the US.

good luck, but if you do get it sorted let us know what the issue was 👍

If the timing belt slipped a notch it would cause misfire. Broken timing belt = blown engine! If it was not done at 100K miles, you are living on borrowed time.
Water pump is behind the timing belt cover.
Was there oil around the spark plugs? That could also cause a mis. The tube seals need to be replaced when you do the plugs at 100K.
But bad news is we have had several members here with the 4.0 who had the right side Cam eat into the pedestals. To the point of not opening the valves.
Not saying that is your issue, but it is worst case.
Won't know for sure till you get into it.
