and boy do I feel stupid. The weather stripping under the hood was off on both sides. I haven't driven it yet, but that MUST be it. Not the fenders although they are loose.(don't feel to stupid, the dealer had it and didn't fix it either

Whenever I open the hood, I find the strip running along the firewall has worked itself loose. Gonna place some double back tape in a few places along the strip. That should do the trick...

Is that the rattle on the passenger's side by where the glove box thing is? Man I guess I should stop beating my Nitro over there and maybe she would stop doing her split personality on me. I am going out there now to see if I can figure out what y'all are talken about

mine is like a hum or vibration and I don't have the roof rack, but when the part for the a/c comes I will mention it to them....man they are gonna start running everytime they see me drive up....lol

I just found the same rattle. It's the roof rail right above the driver's head. I stuck a piece of paper in there for now & will have the dealer address it soon.

Hey, SpoiledNitroWife - does your rattle start when someone is riding in the passenger's seat? That's when it sounds like something is rattling in the glove box on my beloved Nitro.

check under or around your seat for spare or loose clips I found 2 I guess they are body/interior clips just hangin out under my seat. (still have no idea where they go)Looks like a black screw with an anchor on it. Just a guess ??? for rattling in seat???

I found the long clip that holds the front of the seat cover was off (no noise )I was vacuuming and came across it off , I don't know if it just popped off or it just that my wife could lose a few pounds

I have a bit of a rattle also. But when someone's sitting in the passenger seat it goes away.

I have noticed this same rattle. I also have one in the back hatch. The dealer changed one of the shocks on the hatch that was broken, but that wasn't the problem.

I have a loud rattle when the engine starts. It happens about 50% of the time. Can't seem to find where it is coming from. Even was under the car while it was being started. Went through the wiper problem turning off while going down the road. They put in new wiper motor of course it did not fix it. I insisted on a new TIPM, no problem since. I think the rattle started when put in the new motor. Anyone have this problem?

Check this thread post 3. Might help locate the sound. If they replaced the wiper motor, they had to remove the cowl grill. Maybe they did not secure it correctly.
