Just got my 2008 Nitro SLT 4x4 five days ago! I'm so excited about it, I can hardly contain myself. So what am I doing sitting here at my computer? Well, I just can't drive it 24/7, ya know! The UConnect is awsome ... I'm lovin' the steering wheel audio controls and the Sirius satellite ... the rear park assist system is great ... I'm constantly scrolling thru the vehicle information center ... I know I'll love the remote start and the heated seats this winter. And it just looks so stylish!!!!!!!!!! I drove it 90 miles on the interstate yesterday and a few miles in the city - didn't see one other Nitro (it's a good feeling to own something that not many others have discovered yet). And to think - I almost bought a Jeep Liberty (ugh, they're everywhere you go). Hmmmmmmm ... maybe I should go to the car wash ... or maybe I need groceries ... do I hear McDonald's calling my name? Geez, I don't need a reason to drive it other than "I just want to!"

Well hello Regina. So I see you're a little bit excited about your Nitro eh..lol Yes it seems to be one of those vehicles that really brings back the enjoyment of driving. I haven't had a car that does that to me for a very long time.
I hope you like the site as much as your Nitro. We'd love to see some pics of it and to here more thoughts from you as well.

Howdy Ragina ! I don't know where you live but, I'm about 50 miles from Maryville. Within about 30 miles of here, I know of 3 other Nitros. My eyes are pealed all the time looking for any other Nitros, and yes I agree, it's nice to have a car that is unique.

I know what you mean about driving it, I started volunteering to run errands after I got mine home, just to drive it...almost looked forward to getting up and going to work everyday just to cruise in my Nitro. Yes I said that! These babies are powerful!:chuckle:epper:

I hate to have to let you in on this one Regina...If you look at the new '08 Jeep Liberty's they are the same body as our beloved Nitro's...LOL! Just a little fac...welcome to the club!

True, but the styling is decidely Jeep Like and quite different than the Nitro.

After all our '07's were also built on a stretched '07 Liberty platform.

Yes Ken thats one reason I got into the Nitro, I had read that it is a good rugged platform!
