I really like the way that camera mounts...you don't just stick it to your bumper. Did you install it yourself? If so, was it difficult to rout the wiring? Any tips? Thanks!
It was super easy to install! I ran the video wire throw the hatch, across the passenger side of the head liner and down the passenger A-pillar. I had wired up the cable the day I put in the deck and left the wire setting in the glove box because I didn’t want to spend any more time on it that evening and if I knew it was going to be that easy I would have done it that night. The only thing was I had to drill a hole in my tag and I drilled one in the back hatch behind the center of the tag for the wire to go in. I drilled it to a size to where I can plug it if I needed to and no one can see it. And I used a rubber grommet to fill in the hole so water does not get in. Here in OK the word OKLAHOMA cannot be covered up so I am going to get a different tag before I get pulled over.

Thanks for the info on this install! I am thinking about ordering this camera. Do you mind telling me more about the hole you drilled? Did you have to take the hatch apart to route the cable? Any way you could take a picture of this?

Thanks!

Wireless you still have to give it power, to do that you might as well run flawless wired video. It was super easy. Once you take the back plastic off the hatch you will know what I am talking about. I drill a whole just big enough for the wire to go throw in the hatch right in the center of the tag. I used a rubber grommet to take up the slack. The grommet came with the camera. Then I ran the video wire throw the hatch with the wires already there. And ran it throw the rubber flex hose between the hatch and car body. Then it was just a matter of getting the wire to the front to the deck. The pac audio stereo adapter I used to install the deck has a reverse wire in it and that is what triggers the cam to come on when I put the nitro into reverse. The hatch plastic comes off easily just remove the two screws by the handles and then carefully pull the clips loose and it drops off. The pictures is great it is very bright at night.

This is the bit i used i got it at lows.

This is where I drilled the hole. There is nothing behind it there is only one layer of metal there.
Thanks Surfer88 for that image

i did not want to drill holes in the body of my nitros hatch so i just ran the wires for my back up cam through the hatch to where the license place light (hatch release handle) is and their are a couple openings back there for the cables for the hatch release and the license plate light wires to run, i then used a small file and made a small groove into the part of the hatch release cover right above where the license plate mounts and ran the wire there. it then goes behind my license plate then to the camera. the license plate is so high up into the hatch release that you cant even see the wire and that way i did not have to drill a hole into my truck
