That hurts dude. I know the pain from too many bike crashes, hope you feel better soon.

Thinking about some cool racing stripes should keep you going.

How did you manage to break it?

I would like to use that soft-touch paint on the trim peaces. they have a wide array of paint from color shiftting to metalics and candies all with a umber of of uses it just take some immagination. the nitro interior is just begging for mods and give the owner a blank canvas to work with. some of these paint change color with light of heat the exsposure paint react like a mood ring changes with touch. realy cool IMHO.

this isnt just a paint its a coating that has a rudder allmost suade feel...... I like the red paint though it looks good next to the black. most paint will not stick to the plastic verry long though it tands to want to release and flake.

I agree 100% Paint doesn't like to stick to plastic. You can fix this however by using a plastic adhesion promoter before you paint. Prep is the same. Spray a med-wet coat of the adhesion promoter, (I use the RM/BASF brand) Once it flashes off, (10-15min) spray your paint as normal and no more flaking!!!

AM365 is an aerosol. Nice and easy for the DIYer. For those who use spray guns, pick up a little 865. Stuff works mint!!

All of that black plastic look has bothered me too. I also got the Alsa catalog thru the mail for some reason and think that the soft touch coating looks interesting. I would be interested to know how it works out if you try it. It is not inexpensive and is catalyzed, so you should know what you want to coat ahead of time. I painted some of the black plastic with the Duplicolor vinyl paint and it does look better than just bare uncoated plastic. Its supposed to have adhesion promoters built into it.

They have an xB on their website that they paint completely with that soft touch paint looks good other than the the color. I was thinkin of painting all the plastic on the console and door panels, but was going to tape of any plastic with the stippling texture on it but still undecided. I do know I am going to use that exsposure paint for my pin stripes and racing stripes. would like to see the color changing effects it gives you with the stripes not sure that I would do the whole car unless it was a single event change.
