Hello! My name is Courtney.

I have an Electric Blue (can you tell by my username? haha) 2007 Dodge Nitro SXT, but it doesn't have the black fenders. I also have a sun/moon roof. I gave up the SLT model for the sun/moon roof, they were the same price but I thought I could always add the chrome and such on later, and I got the Nitro to have a new modification platform. I bought it with 4 miles on it back in August 2007 and it only has 3500 miles on it now. It's because I drive another car also, which is a firebird. I have had no problems what so ever with it and I am in love with it. I am only dissapointed that it has no pick up/does not excel very fast, looking to fix that problem but do not know how to yet. Oh, and I was dissapointed that I paid $25k and now you can get one for $15k, and everyone told me to wait, oh well.

So yeah!

A big hello and welcome from Canada TRIKBLU. I see you've already settled in by joining the ''ladies only''section. I look forward to seeing your Nitro as it morphs from stock to modified.

If you want more pick up from the 3.7 you can add a Jet chip in either stage 1 or 2, K&N drop in or CAI filter and a nice catback. I have the filter and chip done and next week I'm adding a Magnaflow catback. It picks up much better now and I can't wait till my exhaust is done.

Greetings, Courtney! Hey, I love the sound of that, that you got the Nitro "to have a new modification platform"!! Sounds like you plan to have some fun with it! Be sure to explore the photo gallery and show us there and in the threads what you're doing!

You'll see too that there are lots of threads for various types of modifications folks have done, there is some GREAT info there if you're researching parts of your plans.

Wouldn't hurt our feelings any for to include photos of your Firebird, too! Have you modified the Firebird, and now you're going SUV-style for variety?

I had a fast-car-driving friend offer to install some nice NOS in my Nitro for me if I wanted happy jolts of speed from time to time -- but I declined -- would rather just enjoy that in somebody ELSE's speedy vehicle. I have enough trouble staying on the right side of the speeding laws! I have a 4.0 R/T, and I have very satisfactory acceleration - nothing like a sports car, but that help keep me out of drag races, which is a good thing!

Yeah, I have looked into the catback a lot. I have a thick (1000+ pages) book of modifications for all cars and seen a lot of things for the Nitro for better torque and performance. Though I am not looking to haul anything with my Nitro.

I'll post some pictures soon, (of the firebird also, though I haven't done much to it except replace the doors because I bought it from an impound and they were cracked.)

Thanks for all the welcoming everyone!
