·is anybody flat towing a nitro behind a motorhome? if so, which model and how do you go about setting the tranny up ? thanks for any info
A Liberty has a real transfer case with nuetral in it. The Nitro doesn't.I have seen a Liberty being towed by a motor home![]()
the transfer case is the rear differential, right? so, if you put the Nitro in neutral gear, you're saying you still can't tow it behind a motorhome?A Liberty has a real transfer case with nuetral in it. The Nitro doesn't.
NO, the rear differential is not a transfer case like in the 08 Liberty.the transfer case is the rear differential, right? so, if you put the Nitro in neutral gear, you're saying you still can't tow it behind a motorhome?![]()
Check with your dealer and see if you can flat tow the manual transmission.NO, the rear differential is not a transfer case like in the 08 Liberty.
I am pretty sure it was in the owner's manual where I read that you cannot pull a Nitro with the drive wheels on the ground AND that you cannot tow a 4x4 Nitro unless all four wheels are on the trailer.
Not even close. The transfer case is bolted directly to the rear of the transmission & is what distributes the power to the front & rear drive lines & then to the differentials. Most transfer cases have a nuetral. But the Nitro's does not, hence the fact that you have to get all 4 wheels off the ground to tow it.
