Is it me, or is the Navus a StreetPilot 330?

Looking at the Navus for sale post, the picture looked awfully familiar. Even the sticker on the face stating all the patents and screen care is exactly the same.

The StreetPilot:

My Mom got my Dad a SP for Christmas, even the packaging is exactly the same. I realize there are some extra cables and integration, but how could it possibly cost almost three times the money? My Mom got the SP for just under $350.00 after a rebate.

well the one I received today was the "for sale" navusII. The molding of the plastic is different. On the left side of your picture it shows a circular set of holes. Mine has fins there. It wasn't three times the cost though. They can be had for 769.00. But I got mine for 500.00:) . The way it installs is part of why it costs so much more. It is a seemless install where no wires are shown and everything plugs into the factory wire harness under the hood. I don't know if that is worth the extra cost to everyone, but it is to me.

The Navus II is actually a Garmin C530 & there are a few more features than the 330. But I do agree the cost is a little steep. I paid 900.00 installed.

Yep. It was as advertised. With one exception. It may take me more than an hour and a half to install. That's ok though. Thanks.
