Has any one done this or has seen it done? I am thinking about powder coating my rims, although I am not sure if it will work.

yes it is, but you have to be painting a metal. the 20" rims that are stock on the RT are plastic coated. there are other threads about those here!

Good point Waldorf. I suppose you could tear off the cover. I know the Euro Nitro's have the 20's but they're not chrome and I don't think have the plastic covers.

I've read here that the glue that holds the plastic chrome overs to the aluminum (they are aluminum, right?) wheels. Then these could be cleaned up and powdercoated. I wonder if they could do a blue tinge to the powdercoat? That would look so sick!!!

Yea, I've seen some Ram wheel with the covers torn off, same thing as the polished ones.

Yep, the specs do say that they are aluminium cast. Anyone has a photo of these wheels without the plastic cladding? Or you can have the claddings painted - cheap and easy.
