My 2007 Summit Series with 145K miles is my favorite car to drive. My daughter loves it, too, so much so that she has had it for 1 year at college in central VA. Doing a recent muffler replacement I found the driver side upper rear trailing bar (rear upper control arm) was rusted through. As I was looking for a video on how to replace it I found this site. Thanks for all the good advice. Learned a lot about my Nitro. Will certainly try to contribute what I have learned as well.
I do know that my hand brake is bad, front struts need replaced, and driver side window switch is going bad. I guess I can't complain - I bought it for $500 three years ago because the shop told the previous owner that the TIPM was bad, along with other "several thousand" dollars worth of repairs. Well, a fifty-cent fuse repaired it, and it's still running fine...knock on wood. See ya around!

I replaced mine with this switch. I had to bend the prongs out a bit with pliers a little so they'd catch enough to secure it--otherwise anytime I'd pull up on a switch it would pop out, but otherwise it works perfectly.

There are a few different versions of that switch though, depending on what features you have:
4602632AH - driver's side auto down--the one I have
68620449AA - both sides auto down
4602533AF - both sides auto down
Not sure the difference between the last two. All are 10-gang, but there's apparently another pin configuration and some with auto-up.
Thanks...will check it out!
