Look around, there are plenty of threads loaded with info and honest reviews regarding the Nitro. The Nitro isn't without fault, but then when have you ever bought anything that was perfect?

What issues are the 08 Nitros having ?

I read the entire thread on the 07s having severe transmission problems and it's really giving me 2nd thoughts.

I don't want to lay out $25-26 Grand only to run into problems.

I have a very trouble free 05 Liberty Rocky Mountain Edition (w/19k miles). We just really want some more interior room like the 08 Nitro/Liberty has.

Hey Katmandu, welcome to the forum. I have a Dec 06 built Nitro and the only real issue was the tranny shudder. It went in just after I purchased it back in March 07 and they replaced the torque convertor and did a flash update. Although this doesn't fully correct the problem it certainly felt a lot better. It is by no means perfect but acceptable for now. I recently went on a road trip and the shudder was as minimal as it's going to get. Certain speeds accentuate the problem. I find around 50 ~ 60 mph to be the worst. Apart from that my Nitro has been great and I have no regrets buying it what-so-ever.

welcome to the forum. Let me tell you I am completly happy with my nitro. Yes it had a few minor issues and the dealer was more than happy to fix them, over all tho im extremly happy with my nitro

Welcome. I have an 08 and have not had any of the problems that others have mentioned. I am hoping they got all the bugs out. I absolutely love the Nitro.
