Keep in mind that the lighting system in the Nitro has each light controlled by a master solid state control system rather than relays and fuses. Because of this, you can't add lights in parallel with any existing ones. You will need to run seperate circuits for any emergency lights. I am also not certain if a "wig-wag" light controller will work on this car.
As for the Ham radio, there is a nice high current tap on the fuse box under the hood. The challenge you will have is mounting an antenna. You can't use a bumper mount becuse the bumpers are plastic and there is no place for a trunk lip or gutter mount. If it is a UHF-setup-- you might get by with a glass mount, but you will have a harder time getting a good ground plane for a 2-meter or lower setup.
