Just curious......will the K&N 63-1554 filtercharger kit fit the 08 Nitro 3.7L??

Looking to get one just want to clarify before I order one.

Yep, nothing has changed motor wise between the 07 and 08 models.

Mjet67, I don't have the 63 series, I have the 77 series on my '08 3.7L. Someone correct me if I'm wrong I think they're essentially the same other than the tube. One's an aluminum tube the other some type of nylon. You can get them both for the same price at one of our sponsors, AutoAnything.

Jersey nitro, Thanks, I'm just checking to see that the kits listed for the 07 3.7L are compatable with the 08.:smileup:

I checked with K&N they said the didn't list anything for the 08's.

But everyone says there was no change in the engine from 07 to 08.

I have an 07 Nitro SXT 4X4. I installed the 77 series (polished) K&N after about two months of owning my Nitro. I havent had it dynoed, but I did notice that I was thrown back in my seat a bit more when doing a hard take off. I can also feel the difference while on the highway performing a pass, or just getting up to 60-70 from the onramp. Oh, it sounds cool too.

The K&N chart in the LINK above is interesting...

They're performing the Dyno in 2nd, vs 3rd-A or 5th-M which is a 1:1 ratio. Hopefully they accounted for this in the numbers...
And being a noob to the Nitro, the 210hp:136whp ratio is astonishing. Am I looking at a 35% drivtrain loss?! In the car world I'm use to 15-20%.
