I have an idea that I plan to set in motion early next year.

Has anyone tried a 18x8-8.5 +0mm wheel with 255/55R18's? I don't have/want a lift kit even though I know that's a very popular mod. I just want to make less space for everyone else on the road lol. I'm willing to do some trimming (or more than some) but I'm not sure I would have to since it would only be a 29" diameter tire.

I've picked up some great tips from the forum to help "test" if it would maybe fit, but I won't be 100% sure til they're on the vehicle.

stock wheel size (biggest availalbe from the factory):

245/50R20 98V7.5Jx20 ET40

Use that as your "CONTROL"

I have 1.25" spacers on that above stock wheel/tire and have ZERO rubbing.

I'm thinking 275/45-20 with 8.5" wheel with +20mm offset would be perfect.
I like that idea a lot too. If there were nicer roads where I live I could sacrifice some sidewall. I'm moving down to 18's from my 20's so my Nitro doesn't shake itself to pieces every time I cross railroad tracks lol.
