Some of you might remember (or not :() My dilemma of removing the LOAD AND GO tray so that I could get my bicycle(s) in for travel.

(The LOAD AND GO was taking up to much vertical room to be able stand the bikes up straight and I didn't want them banging around unsecured)

I actually finished this project last summer but just got around to taking pics which can be viewed in my gallery listed below

http://www.nitroforumz.com/PHOTOPOST/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=1348

It was a couple of day project that I have been very pleased with. Let me know what you think

Cheers

Good job Opieos. I'm sure others here would be interested in knowing how you accomplished that. If you're so inclined, maybe you'd want to do a little write-up in the "How-to" section.

Very nice job! Very well designed, and nicely put together. It looks very professional! :rep:

I wish we could go with something like this...

Instead, we are opting for the hitch installed bike rack, eventually. Carting the 4 year old and her little bike trailer means we still need the back seat and the rear cargo area. :(

:iagree:
Do you put the load and go back in when not using the bike rack you made?

No I completely took the LOAD AND GO out. It really wasn't serving much a purposes for me on top of I travel to enough bike races and rides thru out the year it's just easier to leave my "thingy' in.

I don't have the load and go in mine, just the removable cover. I carry too many things in the back that require the extra space. Perhaps you could sell the Load and go unit and recoup a little of the cost for your thingy? Or trade it for a cover?
