I just wanted to say that I love this dealership. They are the nicest, friendliest, helpfulest (that’s not a word, I know) team I have ever dealt with.

I am a target for poor customer service. Wherever I go, what ever I am doing I ALWAYS get poor customer service. At the grocery store I always pick the check-out-lane-girl that just broke up with her boyfriend. When ever I call those 800 # for customer service I always get the guy that just gave his 2 weeks notice and just doesn’t care anymore. So it was a very nice surprise that when purchasing a car I rec’d the best service I have ever rec’d.

As I have mentioned in other posts I had a 2004 SX 2.0 before the Nitro. That shopping experience was the worst I have ever had. I went to three Chrysler dealership and all three thought that they could walk all over me. One even asked for a credit application and a deposit before he went to the auction to find a car for me. He was telling me that he couldn’t bring another car onto the lot unless I promised to purchase it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME.? He also was trying to tell that filling out a credit application would not affect my credit rating. AGAIN – ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I thought that it might be because I was a woman looking for a car all by myself, but then I realized that it was the end of the month so being a woman was only part of it. I ended up purchasing a SX when I really wanted a PT just so that I wouldn’t have to deal with car-salesmen anymore.

Anyways, back to Lockwood. There service team is the nicest in all the land. There salesmen are very knowledgeable and the finance guy Ben is just as great as he could be. He was very straight forward and didn’t try to pressure us into anything we didn’t want. My salesman Gerry (that’s right, I dealt with Ben & Gerry) was just all smiles and had a great sense of humor.

Did I mention the service team, I think I did… but I like them so much I wanted to mention them again.

Anyways, if you are the market for a car and you are in the area stop by and see them; even if it’s just for a coffee (they always have fresh coffee).

I'm glad to hear you're experiance was good!
I'll agree with you that their service is awesome and we take both our Dodge's there exclusively!!
I wouldn't have brought this up on my own but since you got the ball rolling, here goes . . .
This is the worst AND most arrogant sales team I have ever met.
I tried 3 times for 3 different vehicles to make a deal there.
Maybe I'm a slow learner but they are soooo close to my home, I really kept wanting to give them one more shot.
I tried to buy a 300C and my Magnum RT there but they refused to honour the "friends & family of Chrsyler" plan.
They told me they can sell them at full list (this was when they first came out) so why should they discount them?
They told me to come back in a year when sales slow down and perhaps then we could deal.
My last round with them was when I was waffling between a Nitro RT and a Grand Cherokee SRT8. They told me I could look at them but under no circumstances could I drive one!
If I wanted to drive one, I'd have to buy it first. Not make an offer, but actually purchase it! Also, the SRT8 had a $5000 surcharge. When I asked what that was, they told me they figured these were so rare that they could charge over-list and get away with it so why shouldn't they? I did call several other dealers afterwards and no one else was over-listing! Hmmm?
Granted, they are somewhat rare models, but I'm not a 16 kid buying my first car.
Now you're saying, maybe I just got a bad salesman on an off day?
But noooooo.
These were on different occassions with different salesmen.
I ended up purchasing my last 2 vehicles from Windsor Chrysler (Steve Desjardin) and it was completely painless. We neogitated the full discounts over the phone and it took 5 minutes per vehicle.
They gave me the choice of pickup or they would deliver it right to my house. I chose the latter.
So in summary, as you may have guessed,
I WILL NEVER, EVER, EVER, BUY A CAR FROM LOCKWOOD!!!

That is so strange that we had two totally different experiences there. It would be one thing if I had a some-what good buying experience, and you had a some-what poor buying experience, but for both to be at two totally different ends of the spectrum…

I know.
And I'm not out to slander anyone. Just giving an honest summary of the events that took place.
Believe me, I would have loved to work with a dealer so close to home.
That's why I tried again and again.
