Hello from SoCal. My wire is looking at getting a Nitro to replace
her 03 Grand Caravan. I've been a member over at Charger Forums
since (actually before, with a lot of lurking) I bought it last year.
I just figured there would be a similar forum for Nitros and well...
there is... so here I am.

The one she wants to get is an 07 Silver SLT w/ G package, 20's, U-connect
and sunroof. It lists at $27,370 and they want $23,300. Anyone do better?
Also, is the sunroof problematic like on the Charger, i.e leaks, rattles, etc..?
There's another one she likes that has no sunroof but adds the remote
start and full size 20" spare for a few hundred less.

Oh, saw the thread about the leak on the NAG1 tranny. FYI a very common
issue with the Charger, there's a TSB for it on the LX's. They just replace
the O-ring on the harness, under warranty. So when you see the red puddle
under your car just get it to the dealer.

Welcome to the forum, and we'd love to have you come back and post that you dumped the minvan for a cool Nitro. Your wife will no doubt be happy to shed the Minivan image as well. If you have kids, they will beg to be driven to school in the Nitro.

My sunroof has been fine and I have not seen posts of problems with it. Get the sunroof, your wife will love you for it and she will have a nice tan even in the winter.

I personally don't like the 20" wheels and low profile tires, but many love the look. If you like the look of these wheels, you might want to consider throwing in a few more bucks to get the RT which will give you the 5-speed tranny which is much nicer than the 4 speed.

I own and have owned many cars, but we all fight over driving the Nitro as it has such a high fun factor. I can't explain it, the Nitro does not excell in any one category, but as a package, it has no equal. I get a big grin on my face every time I slide behind the wheel.

Take the plunge, but get the sunroof.

17's, said it made it look "tougher". Like it really needs to look tougher.
As for the R/T, it's probably what I would prefer mostly because of
the tranny like you mentioned (can't believe they're still putting 4 speeds
in their cars) but she likes the SLT w/ the G package better...and it's going
to be her car so... she wins.

Now just need to unload the GC or take the so so trade in offer.

Welcome NitroCharger! The Nitro is really my wifes vehicle & I think she would sleep out in the garage with it if it wasnt so cold now here in the great white north. The 20's are what really makes this vehicle "POP" , besides all the gizmo's & gadgets in the R/T & the better trans & larger engine. GO R/T! You wont be sorry. PS. Our sunroof works fine & doesnt leak.

Hey NitroCharger, welcome to the forum. I have the sunroof, no problems what so ever. We dumped our GC for the Nitro with no regrets at all. Don't get me wrong the GC was great and served it's purpose but those days have gone now....and now the Nitro days are here.

One of the 1st things I'll do. The search is off till next week, I'm flying to
Pittsburgh for the weekend to surprise a friend for his birthday.
