Well Bud to briefly answer your question ...NO ..But then again you may just want to mod the mount brackets .. I extended mine almost 2 inches.. I have the pics here somewhere ..I think under side rail / nerf bars .. Any questions just rattle my cage...Just wondering if there is drilling for the install of these bars? I'm not to crazy about drilling into a uni-body frame but I guess if I want these I would have too. Thanks.
Yea, I've read somewhere here that the steps are to close to the vehicle to actually do any good. if you can find that post & the pic's of your extension that would be great. Go to the gallery ...I just had them up..There are about 5 pics there showing various stages.. In my opinion moving them away from the rocker panal is a must if you want to use them as a step.. Or if your shoe size is a 4 or under your ok.. :chuckle:Yea, I've read somewhere here that the steps are to close to the vehicle to actually do any good. if you can find that post & the pic's of your extension that would be great. There were no extensions.. I first installed the Bars as were Mfg. After a few weeks of use I realized that the bars, half hidden under the rocker panels, didn't accommodate a size 10.5 EEE shoe .I bought 4' of flat stock cold steel ...Cut the 4 pcs. I needed ...Took a saws all and cut the bars from the Nitro..I then vice griped the pcs. into place and welded them ..Spotted the bars where I wanted them and welded them as well..Preped and painted the modified brackets and called it a job.. If you found the pics after the re-install you'll notice that I took care to keep the bars inside the outside wheel lines..yea I saw that. Do you have pic's of the extensions before they where installed?
